Our Values

South Shore is an Independent Production Company formed in 2019, made up of some of the UK's most experienced, and highly decorated, producers. We aim to create ground-breaking work, that shocks and delights audiences. Essential to this is creating an inclusive, diverse, and innovative work environment for all our staff. This is at the heart of everything we do. We want working in television to be fun and rewarding for everyone who works with us. On screen and off.

DIVERSITY

South Shore takes pride in sourcing and nurturing some of the most exciting talent across the UK TV Industry. Our CEO's are both from the regions and we're proud to be building a strong production base in both Cardiff and London. We're continuing to put together teams from a wide range of cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds. We employ a number of staff with disabilities and have an equal gender split of executives. We're proud to support the PACT Indie Diversity Training Scheme, have partnered with the government's Kick Start scheme to give six newcomers to the industry their first break in television and are currently working with broadcasters to develop the next generation of production talent via the PM Skills Fund. There should be no barriers to building a great career in television with South Shore.

Sustainability

South Shore is passionate about sustainability and became an affiliate partner of Albert, BAFTA's climate change consortium, in 2021. We're now a Carbon neutral company. We encourage all our staff and each production to engage with the climate crisis in their day-to=day work, both on-screen and off. We partnered with https://www.thegreatreserve.org/ and now offset our total annual carbon production by planting sequoia trees each year in the South Shore grove in Abergavenny, close to our Cardiff office.

Teamwork

From weekly 5-a-side football to summer rounders and winter gin tasting we invite everyone at South Shore to network and socialise. Remote working enables us all to be more efficient but we value spending time together in work and play. From the cycling club to the book club; pulling the South Shore kit on with the 5-a-side team to raising money together for our designated charities - we raised £5000 for the women's refuge charity 18 Keys in 2022 - we hope there's something for everyone to enhance their working life at South Shore.
